This Week on Breakout Investors week ending (7/11/2025)
The biggest news this week was Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) reported Q4 results.
Said Brad Stevenson, “This week, Aehr Test Systems reported disappointing Q4 and full-year results, with revenue and profits down sharply year-over-year, compared to strong profits last year. Despite these challenges, Aehr is broadening its focus beyond silicon carbide, launching new products for AI processor and GaN semiconductor testing, and securing a major AI customer. While near-term headwinds remain, I believe Aehr’s strategic expansion into high-growth markets like AI and data storage positions it well for a rebound as these segments develop.”
Ashleigh Day commented, “Although the very short term outlook for Aehr appears muted, with a summer lull in orders that Gayn has assigned to tarrif uncertainty, the opportunities are not only intact but growing rapidly. AI, a much larger market than SiC is booming and the economics of moving package part and system level test to wafer level is even more substantial. The parts are expensive, complex and require burn-in...it is no surprise they are kicking the tires on AEHR's solution, which is proven with its initial customer. It seems the company is poised to explode this fiscal year.
AEHR finished the week down only 8.5%. All things considered, that’s a small paper cut. Investors are clearly looking to the future.
In other news, who knew an unmanned sub could go to the moon? Kraken Robotics (KRKNF) hit a high of 2.62 this week. That’s a 212% move in one year, an 803%(!) move over the last two years. Kraken, focused on technology for unmanned underwater systems, is another big winner for Breakout Investors. This story is far from over.
Speaking of companies with symbols that start with K and end with F, Kuya Silver(KUYAF) had a stellar week, spiking to a closing high of .365.
If you haven’t looked at KUYAF yet, you should. The CEO appeared on a Breakout Investor call Thursday hosted by Florian Buschek and Bryan Robson.
Summing up the call, Florian said, “KUYAF call went really well. CEO certainly confirmed that everything is on track for reaching breakeven and maybe better with 100 TPD (Tonnes Per Day) in Q3. Production update to follow within weeks. Drilling results too.”
“No more financings planned. CEO is not worried about short term production (ie path to 350 TPD) and more about building their own mill. This is fantastic since at 350 TPD they will produce 20M in cash flow.”
PESI: On Thursday news broke that New Mexico was suing the US Air Force over PFAS pollution High levels of the “Forever Chemicals” stemming from the base have tainted water, damaged crops and poisoned cows in the area.
Why this matters: Aaron Warwick explained, “I’ve said this in response to many questions about what if the Trump admin relaxes standards on PFAS: what matters most is the lawsuits. These will keep pressure on entities to mitigate PFAS pollution.”
Quotable Quotes
Brad: “AEHR up. TSSI down. All is well in the world again today!”
Ashleigh Day on AEHR: “Not going to decrease position here given the drop, but also not in a hurry to add.”
Florian: “KUYAF remains a better buy now than almost ever, since we broke through the warrant wall too and the funding risk is out of the way.”
Money Mark Gomes: “Ashleigh isn't great because of access to management (that's nice to have, but highly overrated and overly leaned upon). Ashleigh's great because he examines the industry through his own lens, seeking professional level knowledge of the situation.”
J L on where to stash cash before the Zombie Apocalypse: “To research this, I have watched every single episode of The Walking Dead, including all of its 19 various spinoff series. In not one episode did anyone ever trade in gold or precious metals. Or bitcoin.“ (That’s good research.)
That’s all folks. Ashleigh took advantage of Amazon Prime Day deals and got a deep discount on a guest writer this week - me! Enjoy the weekend! - Chris Forte
